odd little alucine

It's never previously occurred to Cayra to put a door across an alucine boundary, but now that she's encountered it in practice it makes sense. It makes it visually obvious and it lets you lock it if you want. This door wasn't locked, and it looked like it led to a public bathroom, not a bar, from the signage, so she's still confused. Still, it's a good idea. She twists open the glass vial pendant around her neck and bends her head to the little blue lily inside to make a note of it; as an afterthought she tries to send it off to her antheomancer-chatcircle, anything to have a decent conversation, but it doesn't go. Her flower doesn't look wilting, but she can put it back in the garden and get a fresher one for the vial later. At least her personal files look okay. She closes up the vial again, giving the flower a touch of antheomancy for its health, and finds a bathroom inside the bar that dominates this little alucine.

And then she emerges into the bar. It doesn't seem to be staffed. Or stocked. Why wasn't it locked?

"Good point. Have to address my remarks to the room? Like, 'Room, a bed.' ...Also it would be nice if it could edit, move, and dismiss objects once they were made. There's lots of space, but if we have to work out an understanding of my design tastes it could get crowded."

"Maybe start with 'Room please' and end with 'Thank you Room' and it will take anything between those two phrases as a command? If we do that it will probably also come alive."

"I hope it's as friendly as its portals."

"Lets hope! Okay, so I'll change the room to make objects and obey commands that are between those two phrases, if the person has the password written on them. Any other details I'm missing?"

"I think that covers it - as long as it doesn't drop the things on my head, or anything."

"I'll try to have it not do that," Flynn says with a grin.

She sits down on the floor, slowly the threads appear around her. After ten minutes her movements are so fast as to look painful and she's panting, but she isn't finished yet.

Cayra watches. From a distance.

After twenty more minutes, the threads disappear. Flynn slumps down onto the floor, closing her eyes.
Her breathing gradually slows.

"Flynn?"

[erinflight]

"M, okay. Gimme sec."

[affodell]

"Room, please get me a chair, thank you," tries Cayra.

[erinflight]

A silvery human-shaped creature rises from the floor, it is holding a wooden chair which it sets gently down next to Cayra. It slides back into the ground.

"...Whoa."

Okay.

Cayra sits in the chair.

[erinflight]

After a minute, Flynn sits up. "That was terrible, and wonderful, but god I'm tired."

She notices the chair, "Did it work?"

[affodell]

"Yes. The chair was delivered by a silver person who rose up from the floor. Thank you."

[erinflight]

"That's good then." Flynn yawns, "Can you make something to eat? I'm starving."

[affodell]

"Room, please get us another chair, a table, spoons, bowls, and chicken carrot soup, thank you."

Several more silvered forms appear, each carrying one of the requested items. They carefully assemble the makeshift dining room, placing the bowls on top of the table, and setting the spoons into the bowls. Then they sink away.

Cayra tastes her soup.

It's delicious.
Flynn devours hers in seconds and then turns to Cayra.
"Do you want to see what else it can do?"

[affodell]

"Like what?"

[erinflight]

"Can it make magical items? Ask it for one of your flowers."

[affodell]

"Room, please get me a speakflower, thank you."

[erinflight]

A figure appears, holding a flower. The flower isn't magical. The figure hands it to Cayra and hangs it's head, looking embarrassed.

"Aw. That's okay," Cayra tells the silver figure. "Flower doesn't work," she tells Flynn.
